Yes, that's the one, they do seem to be spreading! The wages are very low even considering location. Think I'd better keep looking. Don't mind doing emergency work but feel that the responsibilites it brings need to be compensated properly!

Just been reading your post and responses and I see you refer to your job being all on call. I don't suppose it is a nationally spredding on call service for practices around your town / city?

If so they do have a reputation for paying quite a low salary over all. Even their locum staff too.

Thanks, that's really helpful. The job I'm looking at would be all OOH so seems a bit low.

I'd agree - most of the jobs I've gone for/had in the North West and also friend's practices seem to be between about £8 - ££9.50 per hour for a qualified nurse in general first opinion practice.

I work in the North west and earn £8.75 per hour during week days and £10.75 per hour at weekends, i think this is about average for the area.
