Wow such a response thanks everyone. I am based in Yorkshire. I am not looking for a job now as going through a qualification and very happy and settled at the moment. I am just thinking about the future and also any extra work experience I can get (though obviously with nursing shifts including nights it hard to fit much in). I just want to make sure I start researching and finding potential contacts early on in my career. Do you work for tingywinkles TLC?

Another thought, Olive, are you interested in wild animals, as in zoo? There was an ad for a VN at a SW zoo on the employment page, but I can't really remember how long ago it was.

PDSA is a veterinary charity but they don't see wildlife unless a client brings something in, then generally it gets sent on to a wildlife place. Near me is S E Essex Wildlife Hospital, but they don't employ vet nurses as such, its mainly manned by volunteers.

If your willing to move internationally this website generally lists any wildlife jobs going. The website is predominantly Zoo based but includes wildlife and charity jobs too. http://zoowork.blogspot.com/

We haven't any vacancies at Tiggs at the mo. Everyone is very settled!

I've seen St Tiggywinkles advertising fairly recently, PDSA are always advertising somewhere in the country and there have been a few charity jobs abroad recently- look in "NON-UK" jobs.

Animals Asia are often looking for nurses for permanent or volunteer posts. They are advertising now. closing date 31st december.

The worldwide veterinary service sometimes do wildlife work too.
