No card, checked the centre where Hannah has choir & checked 2 police stations, so I cancelled it and ordered mum a new one. I then decided to email my brother so he could tell mum the news - except I forgot that Dubai weekends are Friday & Sat, so when I spoke to mum on Sunday (thinking that he would have told her) she had no idea cos he hadn't checked his emails!

So I had to confess anyway then I got a really snotty email from my brother saying I should have phoned, even though he's never given me their number!! We communicate through webcam & skype cos it's free!!!

Told my dad and he said that I had done the right thing and not to worry but I can imagine that my mum & brother are having a right old time about how stupid I am and how I can't be trusted to do anything!!!! ARGH!!!!

Slept in, going to car at lunch time but horrible feeling that I took my phone out at Hannah's choir practice to check time - going to centre to see if it was handed in!!

Hmm I'm thinking I gave my phone to Hannah's friend, in car, to phone her mother, after choir. That would be the next time I used it! Maybe the card has fallen out in the car!!! However I am driving my mother's car at the moment cos I have no diesel )handy that she is away - just don't tell her) so I will have to drive to my mother's house to seach for the card in the car!! Genius Sal!!

close your eyes and run through from the time you put the card away to the time you discovered it missing - and note anything that gives yo any ideas

I am truely FECKED!! My mother is away on holiday & she gave me her bank card cos I've got to take car to garage, Dad to doctor, get shopping blah blah blah blah (I switched off here - feel free to do same) and I know I put it in my phone case but now I can't find it!

Question 1 - do I email my brother & let him break it to my mother?

Question 2 - do I cancel the card & not tell her till she comes back?

Question 3 - do I emigrate now??( before she comes home & gives me hell for many various things, one of which may be the card or she may hold that in reserve for another day)

In response to the "we all turn into our mothers" comment - I have asked both Graham & Hannah to shot me if I even turn slightly!!!

i love the thread title- visitation, thats exactly the right word!

i used to get fed up with the 'we just want u 2 be happy' routine. i used to reply that they wanted me to be happy on their terms! and the other pet peeve i had was if i asked for advice i would get 'oh i dont know, dont ask me' then invariably when it went wrong id get the sighing then the immortal line 'i could have told u that would happen'!

RAAAAAAAAARRRRR! happy days!

funny you should bring this thread up again! - had another visit from Mother Superior again today.

My cat is still fat (actually he has lost .1 kg - or he had before her visit) she tells me he is fat and then feeds him (again from her plate ) 2 slices of ham and a largish piece of cheese quiche when since the last visit he has been on a strict diet of R/D) Morris loves her to bits and sticks to her like glue (cant understand that ) and then she moans because he is sitting on her knee and getting hairs on her clothes! ('cant you do anything about all this hair ?' - yes sure, I will shave him before you come next time ' dont you think its still a bit cold for that - it isnt summer yet'

I have to get a job before I end up as barmy as her!

the visit started at 10.30 and finished at 4.30 and there isnt a smilie to express my feelings!
