I am also a volunteer for the cinnamon Trust, I have been since the beginning of this year. I thought i would be called on to help out, but havent had any phonecalls since becomming a vonlunteer :(

I spoke to them to find out whether i needed to phone regularly to see if people need help, but they said no, just wait until you get called!

So im guessing that means all the elderly people/ others needing help arent needing any help currently! A good thing I guess!

I also just signed up to volunteer at my local childrens hospital (slightly different from animals i know!) in the play room, just a couple of hours a week. Felt like I have things pretty good, with a job and my health etc, so was looking for ways to help others out :)

Have you had any assignements fromt the CT yet?

Was really easy to do simple form to send with three people as referees. Once all paper work sorted and the decision is made you are a volunteer for a VERY worth while cause! You recieve a volunteer badge that you need to show when you on volunteer business and a whole pack giving you interesting info. It also includes posters etc to distribute around. Now all I need is to find someone in my area that needs help with walking their dog or help with their other pets!!! Cant wait to do my bit and help that person(s) and their pet(s)......so come on what you waiting for......just give up a bit of your time to help someone who really needs it and keep these people living with their beloved pets
