I have a golden Ret who cant have any kind of spot on treatment on her as it makes her skin react horriably. So I have started using Scalibor Collar to help with ticks as this was her main problem from walking in the woods, but she has also reacted

Re: Tick/Flea Treatments

Hey,

No idea if this works, found it on another forum.

'Put about 15 drops citronella oil, 10 drops baby oil and 500ml water in a spray bottle. shake it roughly for 15-20 sec then spray it all over the dog, working into the coat - CARE around the face - spray into hand and massage into fur on face. It doesnt kill the fleas or ticks so Indorex or similar house spray may be worth while. Once applied it is only effective for about an hour, but if ticks are found later then can be reapplied to tick.

Hope this helps and let me know if it works!

Program doesn't kill fleas, or prevent them, it simply stops the female flea being able to reproduce, so it is most often used in conjunction with something else.

I think you'll struggle to find something useful that isn't V-POM, and tbh the things that aren't may be more harmful - take the Bob Martins example for instance!! On the other hand, maybe a vet that knows about homoeopathic medicine may be able to help her?
