It would help if you did that first, PDSA offer that aswell as most practices. If you have already done that then i would think about going back to college. Alot of practices are no longer TP's. I printed out a load of vets addresses from the RCVS website and sent them my c.v. A couple sent me a reply saying they are no longer TP's.

All i would say is chin up dont stop working towards your dream and you will get there.

Welcome to the forum. As the above poster said, trainee positions are far and in between. You can try sending your CV and a covering letter to as many practices as you can where you live. You may have to be prepared to relocate if there isn't many potential positions near you. Check out the jobs section on this website.

Otherwise, attend college and do a VCA/ ANA/ PCA course, again depending on where you live. I know St Albans do a VCA course as I have one of their students here on placement so if you live near there, perhaps get in touch with them? Otherwise, it's university to do a BSc in Veterinary Nursing or hold out and hope a PCA/ ANA/ SVN position comes up in the near future. The more experience and qualifications you gain in this area will stand you out when you apply for SVN positions.

Try the BVNA, they may be able to give you futher advice.

Best of luck!

Why dont u think about going back to college and doing the training there?
