I know several people who went to either college and myerscough sounds like the best option for that kind of course. Reaseheath is much better set up for animal husbandry courses, and although they have a large vareity of animals on the premises to gain experience, at least you know at myerscough they have been teaching from a veterinary angle for years and the course is run by vns. If you were not going to college straight away you could always wait and see how the Reaseheath one turns out but as you are going quite soon I would say the safe option would be myerscough.

You could also consider Lite Ltd. Thay are fantasic. I went to Myerscough a few years ago and I personally think that Lite is better at giving one to one support and the classes are smaller. I felt a bit lost at Myerscough. As I said, just a personal opinion.

Thay are based at St Helens and Stockport.

That's what I meant when i was talking about references!! You can ask others about the Myerscough course but no-one has as yet done the other!!

thanks very much think Myerscough would be a better option as they have trained SVN for years.

Some of our students train at Myerscough and they are very good. I also know a couple of the teachers who are also excellent. Dont know anything about Reaseheath so cant comment on that one but would definitely recommend Myerscough

Just looked at the Reasheath website and it looks like you need to be in employment at a vets to do the course, just as we had to do traditionally, are you already employed in a vet practice?

Ah, didn;t realise that Reaseheath were starting a new VN course. The only difference then is the length of time their courses have been offered. Myerscough have been training nurses since the 70's and so is an established course. The Reasheath one might have a few teething problems but they are a very good respected uni for animal care courses so would expect their course would also be good. Which one is nearer for you to travel?

I don't know what this means.

However, I didn't train there but Myerscough have a very good reputation and good pass rates. I'm studying my advanced dip there but dont attend loads cos its mainly distance learning.

Thanks for your post Reasheath are just starting a level 3 diploma in VN in 2012. So ya i would like to do the Level 3 Diploma

it all depends on which course you want to do, to my knowledge Reaseheath do not offer any veterinary nurse courses
