All is sorted now and I've posted off my change of employment form. I have completed every aspect of my NVQ other than the practical exam. Thanks for all of the advice

I would ring VN department at RCVS to be sure or send them an email.

We are stopping training and have been told that if our student has done 1200 hours over 60 weeks then she can still sit her practicals even though we won't be a TP. She has passed her portfolio and theory exam. I think if you have been out of practice for a bit you they like you to do some revision before you carry on with training.

Please don't quote me on this, Emma, but I'm pretty sure you only have to be in a TP for 70 weeks while you are training. That's the minimum requirements for my degree course, so I don't see why that wouldn't apply to SVNs on the diploma course.
