Jack has his own stocking (well sack!) full of presents to open christmas morning He also gets presents under the tree from my family and friends!

Well I was an animal mum before I was a people mum, and this is so true! In fact it's still true even though I now have a mini me people baby (child actually at 6yo)

I do all of the above with all species of 'children' - not always successfully lol!

Obviously mini me is top of the heap - met another mum today who had grown up with animals, and desperately wants a pooch but her son is allergic :(

That must be really upsetting for an animal lover - however, like I told her, Zach never got a chance to be allergic - he came home from the SCBU to a pooch and cats, and I was never precious about letting them all snuggle together!

(Tongue in cheek obviously, but you know what I mean?)

Our three cats are certainly our animal children. We actually refer to each other as mummy and daddy when talking about the cats.

Love this!

My cat is absolutely my substitute child, and some people really don't get it do they? Even my mum (she has 3 dogs) said the other day "Why do you care so much - he's just a cat, he doesn't really love you back you know" That conversation ended pretty quickly...

I'm sure my dog is better behaved than most other people children... He doesnt smear food into the carpet at pubs or scream all the time when your trying to have your dinner!
