In my last job it was written into our contracts that we were not to work for any other practices whilst in employment.

Yeah an emergency service that runs from my works premises at weekends and nights is always looking for nurses to volunteer for shifts - there may be a place local to you!

I do some casual work for an out-of-hours vets. I tend to just pick up the odd saturday afternoon or sunday shift. It's a bit of extra cash and I enjoy the work so its ideal!

Before mini-me came along, I used to do bar work to make a bit extra.

Hard work but fun, and also meant I wasn't tempted to go out spending at the weekend - as I was working!!

I've knownn quite a few nurses that have done pet sitting to earn extra money, and for quite a while I did a cleaning job to help make up my wages.

There has been alot of demand for house sitters but id defintly get insurance. Also alot of people who require house sitting, their animals need daily insulin injections so be aware. Dog walking or grooming are also profitable.

I use to do house/pet sitting, but you have to be careful now as you may need insurance!?
