The blood sample collection task; is that a green needle (21G x5/8) and 2.5 syringe?
The veteregesic task blue needle 23G x 5/8) ?
Clamoxyl task

Re: December OSCE's

Thank-you thats really helpful

Re: December OSCE's

Needles & syringes sound right for 1st two tasks and what's already been said for the Clamoxyl task. 5ml to flush with to check patency and then to flush tube afterwards as well so syringewise I'd say a 10ml syringe so then you've got enough for both flushes (though I think you'd have to put a bung on the end whilst administering the food)

Re: December OSCE's

Clam LA data sheet tells you 20g needle (ie creamy yellow colour), and that is what they want in the pracs. Don't forget to change the needle using a 'safe' method!

Good luck!

Vetergesic is correct.

clamoxyla task is a cream/yellow needle but I have down that you use a 20g by 5/8's ? I could be wrong but sure I looked this up in the data sheet and thats what they tell you to use.

The new feeding task I was told to use 5mls h20 as well.
