I chose them over Myerscough as they were exceptionally helpful on the phone, and the information pack was very informative and thorough

Re: SJS ANA course

Aw well I hope you pass first time!a

I think as you have to have quite a bit of self discipline to do the work by yourself this is a good thing to push yourself through the course

Good Luck!

Re: SJS ANA course

Yeah I personally would have preferred to do the course at college tooo (MYF is where we go for NVQ) however ultimately it was up to my practice manager to decide whether or not I'm allowed day-release and she recommended the correspondence instead.

Well I've booked (via the enrollment application) the November '09 exam and I've been reserved a place at MYF for NVQ2 in January '10, so fingers crossed all goes well!

Re: SJS ANA course

Hi

I am doing the A.N.A course at MYF. I am finding the course to be really interesting and you learn so much! I have 2 big folders full of handouts already!

To be honest I didnt realise how much is covered, which is brilliant but you do need aot of support. Going to college really helps and I feel I learn alot every time I go. The tutours really explain everything, and if you need to ask anything or not too sure on something they are always happy to go over everything.

At least you do not have to do your Keyskills.

If you do it the correspondance way when are you likely to be finished? Are you thinking of doing the September or January N.V.Q?

Oh yes the Clinical Director & HVN in particular are both going to help me, but everyone else is really rooting for me too. I actually started NVQ2 in January but had to withdraw as it was discovered my Science GCSE was a D grade.

Yeah my collegue said that about exotics too and a student at college also said some of the A&P was covered in more depth in the ANA course, so fingers crossed!

Re: SJS ANA course

Hi

I did ANA via correspondence many moons ago (Myerscough rather than SJS). I would say that its really important still that you are getting support in practice to go through any areas you find difficult-this is sometimes forgotten about with distance learning courses. Of course it helps that the college has a tutor who is easily accessible, but often it helps for you to have someone at work you can discuss things with as well.

It is a worthwhile course to undertake though and you will find you understand L2 a great deal (if you chose to carry on with the NVQ later). The exotics section is covered in much better detail than the whole of the NVQ so this is very useful.

Best of luck
