Sounds like your on a mission, good on you!! How does it work if you choose to just do it module by module and does it end up making it more expensive?

Also do you have a contact for anyone i could speak to at harper?

with Harper its possible to do it totally online and if you have time/money (fuel) you can go up on weekends every few months for lectures.

Only assignments are the ones for the modules and you can do 1 or more modules at a time. Exam dates you have a choice of 2 so can be really flexible! Can take as long as you want but possible to do it in 2 years which is my aim! Ive just passed my first three modules and half way through my medical module and law module and aim to do diagnostic imaging and surgical nursing in January!

Re: Diploma in advanced veterinary nursing

How much more flexible are they.... how will you be doing it, still study weekends/online lectures? Are you having to pay yourself? If so do you know much about the costs? Harper is a long way from me but just want to get what'll suit me best.

Thank you so much for all your replies it's really helping, I've tried to ring myerscough today but to no avail yet.

I'm enjoying it. It's very labour/time intensive. I work a minimum of a 40 hour week and study 20 hours outside of work. I have two assignments ongoing and get 3 more when I go for a study weekend at the end of November.

I feel challenged, and although it's hard work I'm pleased I've chosen to do it

Re: Diploma in advanced veterinary nursing

Thats really helpful thank you, If you don't mind me asking what did you work it out to be costing wise and how are you finding it?

I'm studying this at Myerscough. I'm in my first year (started Sept 2011)

You have to complete the DipHECVN which takes 2 years then you can top up to the DipAVN which is a 6 month module to allow you to obtain your blue badge.

There are study weekends to attend at Myerscough at the study is online based so your lectures are released every Monday

Hope that helps
