HA l shall have to kick Ally's *** he told me his Dad used to be better than him but not now. Tsk me thinks the lad needs a lesson l shall make sure he feels my boot/wrath next Sunday

Ah I see thanks! I was getting so confused AFF level 1 is what i'll start with, don't know when but def want to do it at some point.

raps is static line.. that is a no time limit you jump when weather allows and do so many jumps on the rope till able to move on and no set amount of jumps takes forever. arguably turns out the better jumpers but in uk weather takes a long time and l hated it. Yes you can do an aff level1 only which is what you were thinking of.

AFF is freefall from start in theory about a week intensive depending on if you need to do any rejumps and your BPA would need to be checked what kind of membership it gave you till when and as it is getting colder up there ^^^ it is - a hell of a lot more than VVV down here.

Would be good if you came along again Mrs D! Another jump for you at the same time?! Caro, is AFF the week long course to become fully qualified? I've still got BPA atm, from April. I see what you mean, regardless of when you join BPA you have to rejoin in April? I was thinking of just doing level 1 raps to start with.

Sounds good you doing the raps or the AFF Vicky? The AFF is better but more costly l will be doing the 1700 one it is most expensive but best package and at start April mid April next year this is cause you get 1yr membership with BPA and that runs April to April. So if you did it say now you would only get part of a year membership then need to pay an extra 100+ in April you wouldn't have had to pay if you did it from April if that makes sense? Added to that we are going into winter and soon be -27 or more at altitude.

trying to work out how she could be in denial?

Hey Caro............ I couldn't stop going thru it, all day MOnday. They are all a great bunch of people.... especially having to put up with us 'amaters' day after day... they have the patience of a saint!

I couldn't do alot of 'flying' around from side to side etc as it made me shut my eyes and I didn't want to miss the amazing views. Vicky ( work colleague) still doesn't believe that she did it... she's just been in complete denial. Anyway if Vicky (RVN ) does her course I'll come up again and we can all meet up there.

I like Ally and sounds like you had great time but his dad is even nicer Scotty known Brian years. Yes 200 ways are about this one is the California state record though next year is the big one in Dubai 500way

Am still miffed l missed it though

Hi Caro! Aww don't worry, know you've got a lot on, didn't expect you to come all the way with everything. There is a pic up at Langar with ?200 people in formation, we were talking about how difficult it must be to all be in the right place! Amazing! I def want to do RAPS level 1, got the skydiving bug! I loved it even more this time, freefall was even better! I did it with Ally. I was talking to him about doing it last time and loving it. He did more with me this time, gave me an altitude monitor to wear and told me to wave at 7000ft to tell him to release parachute. He also took control of my arms to manoeuvre us more, including holding them back against our sides to make us speed up in a nose dive. Fab!

I am glad all went ok and you enjoyed it heck l can not believe l missed it :and no of course this sunday l am working then following is end of the month my time/days etc are all out of kilter went for dentist app. today at 10:45 wasnt till 11:45 :-(

Hi Caro, Vicky, Vicky and I did our skydive on Sunday..... it was incredible.... as scared as I have ever been but so exhilarating / amazing/ surreal etc etc.

To have done one and then see a photo like this, gives you some understanding of what it takes to do it.....but is almost impossible to imagine.

I cannot find words really to describe the whole thing in the way that I want to!
