I have thought about starting yoga or pilates or something similar.

With Pilates the emphasis is on building really strong core muscles and i don't have the patience towait for my abdominal muscles to 'engage' with every exercise. From doing one hour of yoga a week, for four weeks i've seen a difference. My muscles are a lot more willing to relax at the end of the day, even when i've not done any training. I learned from a book, and although some postures are harder than others, it's generally quite calming. I was actually quite suprised at how much i enjoyed it.

Re: Yoga & Pilates

really late into this post but another way without killing oneself with exercise is them little benicol drinks like actimel but speshly for blood pressure, my dad has them because high blood pressure runs in the family, they seem to work as hes tried them all and these are the ones hes stuck with!! just a thought think you can get benicol butter too

Re: Yoga & Pilates

sure you can pay me in booze - I dont drink! I'm not the fittest person but didn't have too much difficulty in this class As you build your strength/resistence up over time some things will be a little easier but for a beginner it isn't overly taxing.
