 I know it&amp;#39;s really common. 
 I&amp;#39;m irrationally scared of spiders. They turn me into a hyperventilating, panicking mess. &lt;p&gt;* Here is a little (yet brilliant..) tip for you to help prevent them coming in your home.. CONKERS!! .. Seriously.. we collected loads of them last month and jotted them around the house (on window sills, behind sofa, corner of front / back doors..etc etc) and I&amp;#39;ve not seen one single spider &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/new/Very_happy_smiley.png" alt="Big Smile" /&gt; .. something to do with the scent of conkers that keep spiders away?! I bought a bar of galaxy chocolate today and had to ask a member of staff to go down the chocolate aisle to get it for me because there was a bonfire display stand at the end of the aisle with the evil fluffy white things on it. 

I was fine with them until I was about 18.
