All the books and internet sites I use seem to have conflicting information.
At the moment I have down that : Steinnman pins have 1 point end and one blunt.
Steinmann pins = sharp both ends so I remembered 'S' (as in sharp and Steinmann)

Arthrodesis wire = rhymes with 'little pieces' (i.e. a smaller version of Steinmann)

In summary, I try to make a silly connection to whatever I am trying to remember and somehow it works...

Hope that helps in some way?!
