I am sorry to hear that your BVNA membership badge broke within two weeks of receiving it. Did you report this at the time?

BVNA are happy to replace any broken membership badge's within such a short period as it might be that a member received a faulty one.

We have recently changed our badge supplier and unfortunately some of the pin backs have been reported as breaking so we have acquired spare replacement ones for anyone needing one.

If anyone requires a replacement backing for their BVNA membership badge please contact the BVNA team on 01279 408644.

Yeah I'm the same, had one with a pin on the back which then separated from the main part of the badge, when I asked for a replacement they did give me one free of charge but it was with the strange squeeze attachement which was loose from day 1 and never stayed on, especially when you were restraining an animal. The back has now since flown off somewhere never to be seen again and I just can't be bothered to keep asking for replacements. They obviously haven't looked at the practicalities of badges when they changed the design

Wear my RCVS one though which I guess is the main one.

same here, mine is loose now (as I change my uniform daily) never been in the machine, bt it has started falling off
Sad times. I want to wear it as it is shiny, sad really!

I also wore mine when I was training. and I still have that original one in full working order 10 years down the line, Did yopu try contacting the office to explain it had broken?

Did you ask for a replacement?

Mine is a GOOD few years old, and has been through the washing machine and tumble dryer a fair few times (oops!!) no probs.

Never had to ask for a replacement, but surely they'd give one FOC?

Otherwise I think they are about £4 on the BVNA website

I've always worn mine whilst SVN, and remember a lovely but not regular client ( and not the type you would think cared if you know what I mean), stating a discussion at reception about what the different badges meant.

Myself and my RVN colleages educated him , and he seemed chuffed that we took the time to chat about it and point out the differences

I wear mine so people can ask what it's for!

That way I can explain what the BVNA is, different roles, what we do, etc. However I do explain that RVN's and such wear a "proper" badge. Always lovely to educate clients on VN's :)
