I got 4 hours training and no training pack.... but if you go onto the RCVS website and search for a Qualification Handbook - and the new Student Handbook that has pretty much all the information you'll need!

I've not received a training pack from the RCVS either and didn't realise that they even existed!

I received a day's training. The training did not even look at the NPL and was focussed entirely on how to be a 'coach'. The RCVS are very keen for people to grasp the idea of 'coaching' as opposed to assessing.

The NPL is very easy to use and is quite self-explanatory - no real training required!

I have never recieved a training pack and got 4 hours training at the college for my clinical coach training, about 10 minutes of this training was actually relavent and spoke about the NPL.

I got my student through her 2nd year NPL in under 2 months, its pretty self explanatory and im sure you will be fine and you wont let your student down. So long as you know your nursing skills, which im sure you do the NPL is easy, its just time consuming.
