She's just started her induction with MediVet as a trainee vet nurse. Thing is she didn't get C grades in her GCSEs, although she does have a merit in the National Dip Animal Management.
That is true, but most colleges arrange that during the course & although I did it many moons ago from what I remember it was so easy a 10 year old could pass them

Re: MediVet training
Keyskills are included in the ANA so you can successfully complete this course to enrol
Yes, you are correct, some colleges put you through the keyskills exam, alongside the ANA, but they are separate exams, all of which have to be passed.

Re: MediVet training

you still need to do key skill in maths and english if you do the ANA. the ana is only really to up your sciance grades.

Re: MediVet training

Keyskills are included in the ANA so you can successfully complete this course to enrol

Re: MediVet training
She wont need to resit her GCSE's but she may have to do the ANA course for a year before enroling.
The RCVS will accept alternatives to GCSEs including ND in animal care/animal management, see here:http://awardingbody.rcvs.org.uk/students/a-career-as-a-veterinary-nurse/questions-about-vn-careers/#gcses , and these are just examples so there are probably other qualifications/combinations of qualifications they will accept.

The above link mentions the ND in combination with level 2 in application of number, but the RCVS used to (and maybe still do) accpt the ND itself, providing there are merits or distinctions in some subjects.

Re: MediVet training

Maybe MediVet will put her in for that?
