I'm currently working at a small animal clinic in Melbourne, Australia. I will have finished my Aussie VN qualification by the end of this year. In my current job I don't get to do as much as I would like, as my boss is not very helpful and

Re: Considering moving to the UK - advice please!

Nope, I didn't know! Thanks for that. I really have no idea about how to go about this, haha. I intend on getting a Visa :)

I'm definately changing clinics to build up experience, I can't stick around here doing nothing. When I'm qualified I can apply to be a casual at the AEC which is probably what I will end up doing.

Thanks :)

Re: Considering moving to the UK - advice please!

Hi, did you know the Cert IV is valid in the UK? You can get your RVN by applying to the RVC. I assume you have a British Passport or are young enough to get a visa? My advice would be to get your Cert IV and get some experience under your belt, if the clinic your in now doesn't give you enough hands on put your feelers out for a clinic that does, or even get some weekend shifts at another clinic, or look at a shift at an emergency clinic like the AEC or a specialist centre...There are just as many British nurses going for the jobs in the UK as there are Aust nurses going for Aust jobs, plus the UK qualification has just been accepted in Aust so we have UK nurses coming over to get some experience here.
