Well I have no plans to pay £45 for a new one when theres all this talk of a new badge! I think I'll just wait a little while and see what happens. Thank you all for your replies!

Maybe they will recycle the old ones very cheaply for us unfortunates who's badges fell to bits and fell off somewhere never to be found............. lol.

I reckon the low cost will be due to the fact they will be expecting you to trade in your old badge against the new one!

If its that expensive (Wow, I'd better be careful when i get mine!) could you not wait till the new badge comes in and get one for the £10 they were talking about?

Hi i have lost mine too - loose catch, it was on my uniform and then it was gone. I enquired at BSAVA congress on the RCVS stand and they said it was £45 for a new one ( guess what it can stay lost !! maybe i should check e-bay !!) Seriously i think they said i had to write a letter enclosing a cheque for a replacement. Hope i remember correctly.

I would contact the VN department. I think I recall them costing around 40 quid
