The BVNA course is a regional evening meeting based in Preston on the 28th Sept this year, it is an evening meeting so may not be as in depth as you may want,however it is open to all practice staff

aww thanks for letting us know. However I wont be starting college until august. Are the cpd VN only? Do you mean this September? Glad to hear it Cheryl :)

Hello i am also very interested in wildlife and exotics. I am also upset that the course and Edinburgh has currently stopped and hoping it does start up again soon. However there are exotic cpd around. The BVNA are holding a cpd in 'getting to grips with reptiles' in September xXx

Its so nice to find someone who wants that too!!I am desperately trying to work out how I can do it, I wanted nothing else than to work with wildlife:( I felt taking the veterinary route was the best option as the skills would be useful in most areas of wildlife work. If you get there first can you get me employed too lol!!

If your interested in reptiles, Proteus reptile trust do a foundation and advanced herp course. I've done them, full of information and reasonably priced too. I believe they now do it via correspondance too.

I haven`t done it yet! Was looking into it when telford college cancelled it

Apparently there will be an anouncement in the veterinary press when it restarts....just keep an eye on this forum am sure it`ll be mentioned x

Don`t think it was overly expensive no if you have a cpd budget you could probably get some of it paid for by work. Also it was by correspondence so if it starts up again you can hopefully do it at home!

Thank you for getting back to me!! eekk I hope the venue they pick is in Yorkshire!Dont think I could afford to commute to Edinburgh, good to know it may be running again though. Is it expensive (like all nurses I have no money!!).

Hi olive tree Telford college in Edinburgh have just stopped running a city and guilds qualification in exotics and wildlife that was for qualified nurses....that`s the exam that people have been talking about. However i have been told that the course will run again once a new venue is found so hopefully it`ll be available when you finish your training. Good luck!!!
