Wonder if the fella would mind a couple of nights stay in a B+B, depends on whats happening at work/shifts/socially (I do a lot of volenteer work) so will have to check. But if I could meet up (even if its just the pub bit) it'd be fun. Don't think my cats would like going for a walk with dogs somehow!

I have just thought of the ideal pub where they serve food and welcome dogs 9they even keep a bag of treats under the bar!!!)

It's close to the reservoirs in my earlier photo so we could do a 2 reservoir walk which is about 4 miles including the extra little bit from the car park on the Longdendale/Pennine Trail close to my house. How does that sound? Kerry, if you want to collect names and let me know numbers,I'm happy to go and book us a space nearer the time (although we'd have to guesstimate what time we'd be there after the walk) if that appeals to you?

I can do the last weekend in October.

How far do you want to walk and what do you want to do about aforementioned pub? Should we try and find a dog friendly one - are you wanting to eat or just have a drink (if the latter, we could just wrap up warm outside) etc? I'm not sure whether you can actally take dogs in pubs where they serve food and Henri's not used to being left in a car . Am happy to make some suggestions as it's local to me if that helps but let me know what the general plan is....

Of course you can come Phrin the more the merrier Carpos said you could get him a toy he would be happy with that yeh hes definately cheeky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in the top bit of the Peak District too, and although I didn't donate anything, I'd still like to come along with pooch if I'm allowed - as long as you don't mind me bringing my 6yo lil' man

Great to hear from you all......dont worry I am not thinking about a huge hike up a mountain......I am happy to potter somewhere.......Dippy that is very kind of you offer of a bed we could be landing on your doorstep!!!! Not sure when to arrange it for a like you have said we need good weather.....dont mind if cold but dont want it raining!!!!! The peak district looks lovely check out these links......for those who wanted too we could make a weekend of it!!!!!!

Hi, I'd be up for it dependant on when with other commitments 0 let me know the date and I can say a definite yes or no, but would have to dck out if raining as my dog hates rain and would refuse to go if bad weather

I can recommend a good walk and a lovely pub with amazing food nearby but am just not sure what we'd do with all the dogs whiklst eating/drinking if the weather was crappy and we had to sit inside. There's a lovely little terrace outside which is dog friendly.

Northern half of Derbyshire - the hilly bit in the middle of the map between Manchester and Sheffield and down towards Matlock/Bakewell areas (not sure exactly where the bottom bit ceases to be called The Peak District as I live at the top end!)

As long as the walk's not too much of a killer, if you're thinking Peak District (which is where I live) and have room for one plus a furry Cypriot neighbour of Carpos's, I'm in!
