Can anyone recommend a good way to ask

Re: pay rise

You could send an email to the relevant person asking if you can have a meeting to 'discuss your current role within the practice'. Its quite vague but sets up the opportunity for you to discuss where you think you are going with your career and discuss salary.

Re: pay rise

Do you have any formal meetings with them during the year? Appraisals etc? You could bring it up then...

Speak to the rest of the nurses on your team, ask if they have had one, and how they went about it...

Failing that, I would adv arranging a face to face meeting with a written letter you can hand them... and make sure they give you a written letter with the outcome of the meeting too...

Too many times people can go back on what they said because it wasn't put in writing!

Good luck! xx
