Hi caro,

You might be in luck. The local rescue kennels where I volunteer has literally just had a border terrier X brought in. I don't any more about the dog but if go to www.hilbrae.co.uk and contact the kennels direct (the pictures of dogs are out of date) they can find out more.

Don't see many at our practice - think only 2 clients have one!

Whenever I bring my Jess into work people say "oohh is that a Border?" .. and I smile proudly and say "she is!" - Hubby wants another one (puppy) after our baby is born.. it's usually me that brings the animals home lol!!

[/quote] Haven't seen any in my local rescues which is a good thing because I would be after them and can't have another dog at the moment. My next dog has got to be a border! Got to love dogs with beards :D

That is because Borders are the best! You don't see that many rescue ones though. Had the RSPCA bring in a stray one for castration when I was locumming. Really wish I had taken him now :(

have noticed a couple more coming through the doors but do hope they dont go staffy route after having borders for over 30 years, best breed eva but i am slightly biased.

Not noticed l thought of them as l know a couple of vet staff who have them. Mind you l am never out the "front of house" much usually in the back as a locum. Bit of a worry that though.

has anybody else noticed just how many border terriers there are around at the moment, and how many rescue borders there are needing homes? Where I am its like every other pup coming in for vaccination is a border terrier - I hope they arent going to go the way of the staffy
