I have received this email explaining why there is no PSM (sorry the pictures have not copied) - its ashame really but glad to hear it will start up again next year...........as a practice we are still going ahead with free dental checks in Sept and I urge the rest of you to do so.........

Dear All,

The National Pet Smile Month will not be held this year (2011). However many practices have decided to carry on and simply offer Free Dental Check-ups anyway – and I am quite happy for you to use any of the PSM materials for this.

As you will be aware another company (previously a supporter of PSM) has “imitated” the idea and concept and decided to run their own campaign – excluding any other company whose products are of dental benefits, simply promoting their one (canine) product. I have to say that I am disappointed by this (especially as many practices thought that the campaign was Pet Smile Month). However, we did have a quiet chuckle about the company’s knowledge of VETERINARY practice when the following flyer came out.

I am pleased to say that there has been a lot of interest from a number of other companies, all with real knowledge of the VETERINARY profession, so it looks as if 2012 will be a very exciting year for Pet Smile Month.

That's annoying! I deliberately didn't do the June one because of PSM in September....... so we've missed a year! I wish they would of let us know...................

Hi Karen,

June was the oral care month that pedigree now runs as they are no longer part of PSM as they do there own....but I was certain PSM was still in Sept???? As its now only a few weeks away it looks like its not running!!!!

Its not good if that is the case they could have at least informed us!!! I am getting all my team hyped up about it ready with displays, etc

I have tried emailing for information and the email has bounced back. So looks like it may not be happening.
