Cant recommend enough just to rent a flat in Glasgow if you can get your placement practice there. For the first year I done the packing up and moving around for every placement between GUVS, Telford and placement until I got bored, got a flat in West End and commuted to Edinburgh when we had to go, surprisingly easy and makes having a life a lot easier and in the long run cheaper, flat rent is cheaper than Halls..

I studied at Guvs and stayed I student flats in the Hillhead area (20min cycle from Vet school which was close enough for me) Halls can be great but being on the doorstep is not always the best idea. :)

Thanks,Looking forward to it. I'm just waiting for accommodation office to get details, numbers etc from the vet school. Hoping to arrange things on Monday, but there are quite a few halls to choose from. Wolfson is near but I'd rather cook for myself, so was wondering whether there was one halls that had easier travel - sometimes I'll be coming back late at night, I think, if I'm working in the small animal hospital. Sounds from what you say that buses run frequently near all of them. Do you know which one has a direct service?

If you are intending to stay at halls whilst going to GUVs then i would apply sharpish, the lecturers at Telford should be able to pass on the correct numbers and whatnot, but places do tend to fill up fast, with any luck you can get a place with some of your classmates though!

Getting to GUVs from halls of residence is pretty easy! there is a near enough direct bus service to and from it, if not a ten minute walk to anniesland cross and there are tons of buses from there :D

Im not sure about prices for the halls but there is possibly also the option of checking for rooms to rent near the vet school?
