What number did ppl use to contact them. I've left a message and spoke to someone who couldn't find any data on me :0( Maybe I shouldn't of asked if we knew the results lol Ignorance is bliss sometimes.

Hi Sarah, yes me and Hannah got our results by email on thurs and got them in the post yesterday.. We passed :D Ring the college on mon and they'll tell u over the phone. I hadn't got mine at first so I rang them n they told me. Let me know how u got on!

Yep thats wat I think! Not learning percentages as my head just can't take them In! Been doing resp system of the bird today, my brain is turning to mush! Lol. Good luck everyone, 5 days to go! Hopefully see some of you there :D xx

I'm sitting the exam friday as well!!! Getting nervous now! I'm flying up on Thursday afternoon and flight back home Friday evening!! Not staying at the hotel the college said, instead staying at a travelodge slightly further out but much cheaper lol!!

I'm trying to remember everything but like everyone else some stuff is not sticking, dental formulas are difficult, so many variations for different species! Made up a revision note pack so I can revise on my flight up and on the thursday evening lol!!

Has anybody recieved any information as to what room/where the exam is? The only information I've had says its at Telford College and rooms TBC!!!

Yeah I had to check also I'm entered exam. I'd be pee'd to put it mildly if I got there and found I wasn't on it. They'd be paying my 4 flights that's for sure! I think as long you know main common animal dental formulasyoull be ok. Latin names no if I remember on paper then great is what I'm going for. Regard nutrition carb protein nos who cares you read up about it in the real world anyway, I've looked at it but I think there's more important issues we'd get questions on than a percentage. Vitamin c levels for guinea pigs I'd try to remember though! Yeah I'd make a weekend of it too, have fun u & ur boyfriend. Good luck all!!!

I had to ring telford too to check that I was entered for the exam, expected some sort of conformation through the post. I am flying Thursday morning and staying until Sunday, me and my boyfriend thought we'd make it into a weekend break whilst going all the way there. We are stopping at an Apex hotel, think its in the centre of Edinburgh. It would be good to meet up before. x

I would like to know whether you are all learning the same things as mentioned above but also the quantities of protein and carbs etc each species requires.... My brain is refusing to take any more in!! small furries is my issue (and all of the nutrition content!!)

I haven't had confirmation but iv called them to check! Were staying in a travel lodge nearby but the practice has paid for it so not sure of the price! I'm getting nervous now.. Just over a week.. Eek!! Have you guys been learning the Latin names and dental formulas? I'm really struggling with them!! I like the wildlife and reptile sections, the other 2 are not going well! :(

AAAAAAAAHHHHHH not looking forward to this!! I'm glad you guys are having trouble with Telford too.... have any of you received confirmation of being in for the exam? I have not!!!! They are pretty piss poor with their communication... I'm coming up on the Friday morning and leaving in the eve feeling incredibly nervous and unprepared about the whole thing!!!! Hi guys,

I've made my revision notes and only now just going through them. I'm guessing the mutliple choice will help us out! Hoping.

I am flying up on the thursday evening easyjet and leaving on the friday afer exam in the evening I think like 8pm. I will be in Uk from tomorrow night. I've tried to send a message/conversation thing to Debs - if that is like an email based thing I'll send my mobile no so we can try to meet up. If it works amy I'll send to you also, if you'd like. Or we do coffee and debriefing post exams :)

Are you guys staying at that holiday inn hotel, advised by college? man I was shocked at the price, I've found a b&b near to venue, half the price about 40gbp. If you need details let me know.

Sarah Bolton: regards course it's good and gives lots of background information. I think Avian section is lacking a bit of content like in bandaging type stuff as trying to bandage a falcon's foot or body is very different to other species.

Its structured into 4 books/species groups: Avian, Small mammals, Reptile & Amphibian, British wildlife. Then within each it's split into units: A&P, Nutrition, Chemical restraint & handling, Fluid therapy, Specific diseases.

It's all distance learning, send back assignments post each unit to monitor your progress. Throughout text theres self assesment questions with the answers at back of unit to ensure your grasping the text/content. Then if you'd like to sit the exam which you don't have to but it gives you the certification you hear around march - april time pay a fee, send the letter and exam is held annualy in september at the college.

This all being said response form college and back up is slow, to be kind. As you've seen from our previous comments....

Me and my friend are both sitting it and are heading up on the thurs before. We could meet up and panic together! Lol. It's deffo not just you. We've been ringing and emailing constantly to find anything out! And they sound like they can't be bothered talking to me when they do answer! I believe the results are 4 wks later but if worst case and we fail, there's no resit until the following year! That's annoying! How's your study going? Most of it is ok for me but small furries and their parasites just isn't going in.. Dam things lol x

I'm also sitting the exam in september. I am so glad that people have had the same none helpfull approach from the college. I thought maybe it was just me. I've had to contually email, to see if I'm on the exam, to recieve any kind of invoices!! It's so bad. I am going to complain after exam and results. LOL Whenever the results maybe because as far as I know thats not been informed to us either. I think it's very poor. I waited for a year after continual emails to see if the exam could be sat elsewhere than the UK. Then in May finaly was told needed to return to UK for it.... rah.

See you at the exam's I'll be up there on the night before exam, and woulod love to see you after exams, whilst wating for my flight back.

Hmm wonder what it'll all be like..... scary 2 weeks and we will all know.

That doesn't sound good... Can you remember what sort of things it was? I'm learning all the different species of everything and naso tube sizes etc and don't know if I need to! I'm glad it's not like the nursing ones with actual practicals though... Photos sound better! X

I completed the course 12 months ago and likewise had no idea what to expect with regards the practicals.

We did the practicals in the afternoon. Each of the exam tables had either an item or a photograph on it. We then had x minutes to answer 2-3 set questions on what was in front of us before rotating around the room to the next table. If memory serves me right, some of the photos were not the best quality and it was hard to see what was being portrayed!
