hi katy was just wondering do you do pet sitting as well as vet nursing?what help did you get from NARPS and if you dont mind me asking how much was it to register?i would like to do it as a second job but dont want to commit to too much as obviously my full time job as a rvn comes first x

I did one (correspondance) about 3 yrs ago with Animal Care College. It was OK, but to be honest most of it you will already know as it goes into animal first aid, nutrition and health matters. As a VN I think you would find the course basic and boring. The professional bit, ie insurance, tax and the like you can find out from Direct Gov and speaking directly to the Tax Office or maybe even doing a course aimed at new business start up. Good luck

I think it's a lot of money for something that is fairly simple. I am currently setting myself up as a pet sitter/dog walker and the only things I am struggling with are things like tax and VAT. I have learnt all I need to from asking other pet sitters for advice if there is anything I wasn't sure about. but obviously by doing a course it's another qualification to add to your CV and may stand you in good stead for jobs in the future. :) Sorry if this has confused you more :)

Hi, Narps are doing a pet sitting course in the near future. I joined with them 6 months ago as I was interested in pet sitting, and was really impressed with the amount of help I received .
