I moved due to wanting to continue to learn and gain more experience and knowledge. I move from a small practice to a much larger hospital setting, which was great move and learnt so much.

Good luck with the move. You never know you might be able to offer input on how they do certain things and improve things.

Re: Starting at new practice eeek!

Good luck at your new practice. I also moved after qualifying but I gained so much more from other people I worked with. Learned some different techniques to what I was taught previously.

Re: Starting at new practice eeek!

[quote user="Kells x"]

Hey guys,

I start at a new practice in 2 weeks and it hasnt really hit me until now that im leaving my place! eek im nervous! ive been qualified since Jan and am leaving the place where i started out as a student so its quite daunting bu im so excited at the same time. Cant wait to work for my new place but i know ill be sad when i leave! Im nervous too because ive never gone into a new nursing place and started a fresh, ive always been in the same practice and learnt to do what they do so going into a new place and learning new protocols is a scary but exciting thought.

anyone else in the same position?

K x

Good luck with your new job. I left my training practice shortly after qualifying and gained so much more experience at my next practice. Dont regret it for a moment! You'll be fine!
