I've done a bit of work with the elephants at Twycross, but again was more voluntary work rather than CPD.

Ah ok, no as far as im aware there isnt anything like that in the uk but if you come across anyhting then please do let me know as it would be something I am definately interested in!

well im actually in sri lanka working with elephants but i wanted to find a course back home that i could use for my cpd allowance as i am going to be working here 6 mths a year :)

As above your best bet would be the local zoos, if you call and explain your situation and why you wanna come a lot of them are very welcoming because your not just 'member of the public'. Also there are a lot of courses abroad but it becomes very expensive, depends how keen you are. I spent 3weeks on a lion reserve last year for my cpd (and own interest obviously) and i absolutely loved every minute of it but cost a fair amount of money. Wildlife vets africa are a very good company to look at for vet cpd abroad.

No, but the title made me giggle - not a question you get asked every day!

I would guess that maybe your best bet may be to contact local zoos or any specialist zoo vets in your area but you've probably already done that?

The only other places I know of that do more formal courses are sanctuaries abroad but that's a bit of an expensive cpd day!!!
