Vicky, I appreciate exactly where you are coming from, trying to run a rescue on limited funds, but for a forum member to dish out medication to anybody who joins and posts on this forum would be both illegal and highly irresponsible. If there was a complication resulting from administration of such a product there would be no-one to foot the bill and it might end up costing the rescue more in the long run. Expiry dates exist because drugs cease to be at optimum efficiacy past a certain date - if an animal requires a prescription only drug, it requires it for a purpose and out of date products may not keep a condition under control.

Thank you!

The website (gives you an idea of what we're about!) is http://www.rescuehelpersunite.co.uk/

The forum (where the magic happens :P ) is http://rescuehelpersunite.forumotion.com/

You have to register to see most of the posts, but it's well worth it. We work with rescues, vets, pounds, and individuals to help animals in any way we can. We arrange homechecks, transport, fundraising, fostering, find rescue places for animals... there is a growing database of volunteers now throughout the country and we have dozens of rescues who use the site. We also help any kind of animals, from small furries, to farm animals, to exotic pets!

If anyone has anything like this they could please donate then please feel free to post details for rescues to reply directly or e-mail me and I can sort out a list of contacts if you'd prefer (I need to update it first though as we've had a lot of new rescues join recently!).

Thanks again everyone! :D

I'm a staff member on an animal rescue site and we literally have dozens and dozens of smaller rescues and animal welfare charities who would appreciate any medication that is still safe to administer.

If it helps I either have a list of rescue contacts I can send, or if it's easier you could let me know what is available and I can get in touch with them myself to find out who needs what most urgently and I can divide it up and organise postage etc. that way if it's any help?

Of course, you're always welcome to join the site and offer it yourself - you'll be very popular, I'm sure!!! :)

If anyone wants any further details please feel free to e-mail me at v_lizzy@hotmail.com

Thank you ever so much,
