I did it 20 years ago when i was 11 years old! we went on the safe route, took about 3 hours if i remember rightly, and we had my 3 year old sister with us at the time, cant remember if she walked or got carried tho. Was good fun.

up and down in 6hrs so was quiet happy with that and no midges[:

the weather was lovely and the views were just amazing.......

Yeah, staying in Fort William......Thanks for the tips. Looking forward to it now if a little aprehensive aswell!!!

Hi, I have and it was great. Very long if you do the 'Tourist route' from Fort William which is recommended as it is safer. Just remember that even if it is warm in the valley when you set off, it will be absoluteley FREEZING at the top. You must take several layers of clothing and a preferably Gore-tex outer, + lots of food + drink. Take your time and ENJOY. I am very envious as would love to be in the hills, just got to wait til August for another Lakes trip.
