by the end though, you can be super quick!

much quicker than point and click! some times the machine cant keep up

yup, treat it like DOS/Linux. Aimee is right, that's the way to approach it, you have to unfortunately learn the different menus. I remember having to constantly look up codes in the beginning.

The way I got my head round it was by treating it like DOS.

It's all about comand codes and using the right menus.

That will have either helped or made it worse

I'm trying to get to grips with PremVet at the moment. Seems very confusing as I'm used to teleos

The only one I have used with a black background was Midshires - this was years ago, and it had mainly white writing if I remember correctly.

AT System?

I used a system similar to this when I first started at a vet practice few years ago.

Premvet has a black screen, but it can have lots of different colour writting depending on the settings.
