funny you should mention massage - had this conversation with Carolyn yesterday.

I am looking at social work again at the moment , I have done a small amount of work with the prison service - maybe I could get something more permanent there?

James Herriot - thats what got me into this in the first place! Yes I have considered writing articles, have written a few short stories for womens mags which can be nice little earners when they get printed . I won the NOAH comp last year which was fun.

plenty of practise with cleaning!

I am going for an interview with social services in the week. If i dont get in may try the volunteer route again and hope a paid position comes up - but I really need to be earning and although i enjoy the volunteer bit I have to pay my way.

I am also going for an assessment on becoming a phlebotomist with the NHS. I was always told if it had a vein I could get it - so may have to prove that. I know one vet that will back me up on that - I had to stick him i/v with narketan after a ?immobilon scratch

Yeah, I've applied for a voluntary mentoring/befriending thing (in London) so hopefully I'll get it. I think they are interviewing in a month :) Was quite heartbreaking seeing some homeless people trying to keep warm and dry in the recent snowfalls :(

I have done work with one of the homeless charities (Groundswell) - it was very rewarding and I enjoyed it meeting other people and sharing just a little snippet of their lives and I would like to think that maybe in some samll way I helped a few of them. I made some very good friends. Would love to do this again

I was thinking of volunteering for a homeless charity for a while with a view of hopefully getting an admin type job there. Could be done with any charity though really.

Retraining as a teacher sounds temptin Saskia.

ooooooooooooo jean luc, i have sat in the captain jean lucs chair and met Deanna troy,Warf, data, the blind guy.... cant remember his name, also spent time in Deana troys trailer playing with her dog...oh yes and met Riker, have pics too.Bit of a Trekkie....lol
