The key difference with the two is that while the Dunnock (Tracy&amp;#39;s) has a speckled brown tummy, the sparrows tend to have a pale, creamy tummy from fairly early on - the best way to tell the difference! &lt;p&gt;Agree with this. The egg food is far better.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It looks much more like a sparrow to me, dunnocks are darker on their underneath but otherwise pretty similar! &lt;p&gt;with wrens I have usually put them on a perch (not too high up tho so they&amp;nbsp; dont get hurt) and let them flutter to the ground&amp;nbsp; (somewhere they can have a soft landing) a few times and they usually get the idea very quickly - and before anybody calls me cruel I have handreared a lot of wrens with no casualties using this method.
