Thanks guys for your posts, that was the biggest worry of mine. In your opinion how have you found locuming? I wan to be able to gain as much exp as poss and hopefully save some money on the way. My biggest plan hopefully is to go back to south africa in a few years time to do some sort of enviromental/project work so want to gain as much nursing exp over here before i go back!!

And also i love it over here in the Caymans, its a fantastic place to live but extremely expensive to live and as much as i love my job, doing the same nursing here as i was at home and just isnt the same as working with the big 5 lol xx

Hi when I started locuming, I went with different agencies as they sorted everything out for me and was only a matter of filling in time sheets. There are many to choose from and most are very good. Just let them know the area you want to work in and dates and they sort it out. Good luck x

one of my best friends is out in cayman at the moment. has been out for about 18mths and she loves it.

Agencies generally make locuming quite easy (as long as you pick the right agency). Most will either sort out tax and pay for you or recommend an umbrella company for you.
