I have all economy 7 dimplex heating, its ok, i dont find it warm enough though and mine are pretty new, sposed to be cheaper but not too sure, i use washing machine at night as sposed to be better, ive changed to a key meter as i have found it so much cheaper and easier, i know they say its more expensive but i know i have halved my bill in doing this , and i can see what im using, used oil filled radiators but they are very expensive and fan heaters are lethal money guzzlers!!

Thanks for update asked about changing it but been told has to stay in :-( apparently everyone is on se as they are cheapest and give discount for oldies so guess thats whats happening.

I had it in my old flat. Like Sal I found it very very expensive!

I started using electric oil-filled radiators and fan heaters instead.

I found Economy 7 to be very expensive and as already mentioned in the winter it can be doubly expensive when you need heat during the day

We used to have that in our old flat. Can't remember the tariff cos it was over 8 yrs ago but it meant it was more economical to run the washing machine and tumble dryer at night.

Can't see how that's good for the elderly though, cos in the winter she's gonna worry about putting her heating on during the day. If it was my mum I'd look into changing it.
