I used to locum 8 years ago and was paid &#163;10 p/hr as standard, then usually time &amp; 1/2 or double for weekends/nights. I routinely charge &pound;13p/hr - accomodation included if the clinic is more than a fair travelling distance. You can offset your petrol and living costs from your tax too.</p> <p>You may find some clinics will not pay &pound;13p/hr - these tend to be the smaller, &#39;less busy&#39; clinics.
