I adopted two orphan kittens who both suckled off my German Shepherd Used to think it was cos the dog was ex puppy farm brood bitch, but maybe its a kitten thing?????

They did grow out of it

My cats 11 and still tries to suckle from us, we got her at 6 weeks old too. She also dribbles when she purrs so everything gets soaked while she does it

My cat does this to me also, she started just doing it when i was sat under a fleece blanket but now does it all the time nomatter what im wearing!! Ive tried shooing her off, wearing perfume etc but nothing deters her, she is now over a year old and is showing no signs of growing out of it!!

Poppy done this for ages to Luka when she was younger. We like you had her from 6 weeks, and like you Luka just let her. Shes grew out of it but not until she was like 7 months and she still licks us when she gets the chance!

We just tried to discourage her from doing it and separating them when she did it. Sorry don't have much more advice but know exactly how you feel!

Our poppy will always be a wee bit "special" tho, theres something not quite right with her - she lives in her own wee world and isn't very sociable but thats fine we just make an extra effort with her.

I wouldn't worry to much am sure she shall grow out of it soon.

my youngest male cat (quaxo) still does this to various parts of my older cats and he's over a yr old.....my older female (meg) has started to warn him off but Tux my older male cat still allows it up to a point....generally when he's in a chilled out mood cuddled up to me Quaxo will climb onto his back and suckle his neck or maybe a paw, all depends what he can get to really!!

my cat is now 4yrs old she still does this to my daughters hand, and my stud earing in my ear, think it must be a habbit sort of thing, u could try to deter her from doing it but if its not doing any harm, should be ok,
