I was wondering if there were any other international students on here? I was offered a position as an SVN at my practice providing that I will be considered a home student by the college. Even if you only recieved a D- it's still passing compared with the levels here at grade C. If you have taken any extra courses since graduating, like college or university these would be consitered A-Levels. So if you recieved a A, C, D, A, C, you would have the GCSEs needed. I had to work all this out when I started looking into becoming a SVN. But I found this out by contacting the RCVS. You will need to send them your transcripts if you can.

Re: International Students?

Thanks!

Re: International Students?

hey there

With regards to your visa you are prob best of contacting the Home Office about becoming a British Citizen / applying for British Passport

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/

What level are your qualifications to?? You would prob be best contacting then Royal College of Veterinary surgeons to ensure that your qualifications are at the right level.

www.rcvs.org.uk

You could either study the ANA course for a year, this would give you underpinning knowledge prior to studying the NVQ Vet Nurse course / BSc Veterinary nursing.

Alternatively you could study GCSE maths at night school??

hope this of some help to you. Good luck
