They do like to worry us dont they!! I'll let you all know how it goes on tuesday

Re: Cat scratching herself badly

sounds so much like my older female cat.!! firstly get her checked out it could be something really simple.

my girl has had to wear a buster collar for the past 5 years because of loads of self trauma, if yours will let you see if there are any small bumps on her head, this is how meg starts off, she does have some allergies but thats not all thats causing the problem. unfortunately my girl is a nightmare to medicate at home, and when i did find a medication that seemed to work she went anorexic and developed hepatic lipidosis (typical). so after trying for ages with different meds with varying success and trauma, i have decided not to bother as she is quite happy with her collar on 24/7

Re: Cat scratching herself badly
the list goes on
I agree.. could be a number of things! including stress maybe??

Vet might do a sticky tape test - will prob tell him/her whats going on...

Let us know how little one does xx

Re: Cat scratching herself badly

Flea allergy? Might be worth taking her in and getting the vets to check down inside her ears. General allergies? Mites? the list goes on. Def worth getting a vet to check her out.
