Not too much difference other than the increase in ticking in the coat. The breed today is still very much in the hands of working folk though.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Look at the back legs on the GSD and the boxer looks more like a Pitt bull. Also really pleased to see my breed on page 73, named &amp;quot;Sheepdog of the Abruzzes&amp;quot; but now called the Maremma Sheepdog. There is a gallery or section on dog breeds and I notice one of the ones mentioned in the book link which is now extinct there is an example there.
