I have recently done a lot of research into Toxcara canis and its treatment and also found there was a lot of conflicting views especially with what products to use but fenbendazole starting at 40 days prepartution seemed to be the most popular.

Think you can use and is appropriate but it does not have the full worm cover. I would be reluctant to aqdvise as I don't know the appropriate number of times to give during pregnancy. I can't believe one dose would be enough.

Thinking back to my general practice days...

pregnant bitches we wormed from day 40 right through with panacur as above due to prenatal worm transfer to pups.
pregnant queens as far as I recall just need routine worming as prenatal worm transfer isn't as much a problem, is mostly through milk (we used milbemax) and kittens we womed at (I think) 3,5 and 7 weeks with panacur then milbemax at 12 weeks when they were old/big enough. Frequency depended on the vet's preference, some did every 3 months from 12weeks, others recommended every month until 6 months of age for both kittens and puppies, then every 3 months thereafter.

At what poiint do you worm pregnant queens and the kittens, then how often?

I was taught that the worm cysts can cross the placenta from the 42nd day of pregnancy onward, so worming is started at day 40 through to 2 days post welping, then again as the puppies are wormed at 2, 4, 6, (if ness 8 weeks) then she cann go back to the reg worming plans.

We use Panacur granuals for our bitches as the pups get the paste.
