I don't know if doing the top up will make you feel any different or enable you to change anything at your current workplace?
As some have mentioned, a referral centre might use the advanced skills more but that means moving on.
Are there any other avenues you fancy? Becoming a clinical coach? Surgical diploma for example?

I've always facied the top up but I know my practice won't support me to do it.
What is the course like and is it massively intense? Are there still practical exams involved?

Hi I topped up to the advanced diploma, I was in the same position. Getting bored and needing a change and a challenge. I really enjoyed it. It changed my way of thinking about the patients and made me evaluate what I was doing. Would reccommend doing somithing, and if you have the funds and time carry on to the full degree. I unfortunatly had to stop, but I still got a qualification out of it. I do like my blue badge.

Have to say I completely agree with your first paragraph!! Been thinking this way for a while now... but do think it depends on the practice and individual vets.

I'm thinking of doing the top up, not because I think it will change anything but because I want to do it out of interest in the subjects, just for me. I am thinking of doing the Myerscough one.

To be honest I don't see that topping up to degree will make a difference. Have you thought about going to work in referral?
