I didn't get the job they said they went with someone currently working in a practice ( I've just finished my contract) got another interview tomorrow for a pre trainee nurse position in a very well established and highly thought after company. Any more tips anyone can give me for my interview. they want me to spend a morning with them as well. any tips on what to do and what not to do?

Re: URGENT interview help please

Thanks all the interview went well i think the place is lovely and everyone was really nice. I would hope they would tell you, but if not, just ask them 'And when can I expect to hear from you?' or something similar. It's usually a week or so.

Don't stress mrs - get to bed and have a good night's sleep, and just be honest to yourself tomorrow

Good luck!

Have you worked in a vets before? If they don't cover it fully at interview its always worth asking about hours, on call, and remuneration for that. But don't focus on money!

I agree that asking about career prospects ie VN training is a good idea.

Don't be 'Ohh I love animals me' (we all love the furry critters, but that isn't what gets you a job imho), but instead try and get accross just how interested you are in the scientific side of it, and most importantly, how commited you are!

Re: URGENT interview help please

Aww good luck with the interview!!

you could ask questions about the practice, .. shows your interested.. like how many ops they have in a day etc.. you could also ask what they expect of you like: "what would I be doing in first few weeks if I was successful" and maybe ask is there room for you to futher your career i.e is it a training practice and could you eventually train to qualify..??

not sure if that was any help at all! but good luck anyways xxx
