Oh great cause the one l always saw was show all topics for variouse times up to 1 year to so have always thought it pruned thanks for that Now where were you when l needed that advice about 10years ago. Or whenever the site was first started first time round.

MEN they give you the info after you have finally lost all your marbels and gone doolally!

Actually, they don't self-prune (I wish my apple trees would though). That's just a setting of yours. Next time you're in one of the old forums, look near the top right. There's a drop down list with various"Show all topics from...". Change your setting here to "Show all topics". This will get you everything from all time.

On the old site the posts self prune thats why we can only look back at 1 year of old posts. Hence my asking if you were going to stop them dissapearing after a year.

Not sure I understand the question! No settings have been changed on the old site, except that you can't now post.

I was planning on seeing how visitor traffic to the old forum declines, and shut it down when it is almost nonexistent.
