We have fibreglass ones at the branch admittedly they are very old and quite scratched chewed so they are very difficult to clean also where they have cracks/dents cat urine gets in and makes the whole place smell very unpleasent.

have you thought of having them relined - it is possible

Re: fibre glass kennels

We have fibreglass ones at the branch admittedly they are very old and quite scratched chewed so they are very difficult to clean also where they have cracks/dents cat urine gets in and makes the whole place smell very unpleasent.

Re: fibre glass kennels

thanks guys! really like the poltec ones!! x

Re: fibre glass kennels

I worked in a vets were they had similar kennels for cats and dogs. great to keep things warm but the only prob was if they manages to scratch/bite them they became hard to keep those areas clean. You end up with areas that need a toothbrush to get in to the cracks( that a pain). It was mainly dogs but just thought i would mention it. x

Re: fibre glass kennels

We have poltec ones, really like them, very quiet and warmer than stainles steel Choice of normal door fronts or solid, good choice of sizes too.Not worn at all and really easy to keep clean.

Re: fibre glass kennels

http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/blogs/veterinary_news/archive/2010/10/20/99521.aspx

I like the look of these on paper but havnt seen them in the flesh - I hope if we ever got a cat ward where I am now we would get something along these lines or the Clark cages

Re: fibre glass kennels

one of my previous practices used to have the HVE ones which were very hardwearing and had nice doors. I have also used the Clark cages which come as a flat pack and are very nice and quiet (I hate stainless kennels for cats).

there were some on here on the whats new

will see if I can find them for you
