As far as I am aware, you can't have your rota and working terms and conditions changed suddenly. There needs to be a consultation period and the time for that depends on how long you have worked for a company. Your bosses should have explained the changes to you and discussed them. I would ring BVNA and get number for helpline but might get same adv if tried CAB - whoever you can speak to first.

I hope you get this sorted. It must be very unsettling for you.

Depends if you have a contract with your hours on it. Even if you dont I think if you have been working the same hours for a certain number of years it is similar to a contract and cant be changed that easily! I would def look into it and get some advise.

Have your employers explained why the rota has been changed (reduction in overall working hours/pay difference etc?) as I would imagine that this would be dependent whether anything can be done. At one practice I worked at when working a weekend we would gain a half day as lieu as well as overtime pay although you wouldn't necessarily take you TIL the week after your weekend as they could be banked. You would work from Monday straight through to the following Friday.

If no answer has been given by your employers why this has suddenly changed then you should find out why but wouldn't be a bad thing to contact the legal helpline (call BVNA on Tuesday if no-one has the number) for advice.
